"What are life systems, really? (And why your routines keep failing)" by Michelle Martinez

You started Monday so sure this week would be different… new planner, fresh app, big plans.

But by Tuesday, you're burned out, and by Wednesday you're back to running on a quarter tank, lying awake wondering — why can't I stick to a routine when everyone else makes it look so easy? Here's what I want you to hear first: it's not you.

So what is a life system, really — and why do the planners and apps keep quitting on you?

Life systems are the routines and habits that quietly run your home, your health, your kids' care, and your self-care — all the things currently crammed into your big, beautiful, overloaded brain. The best way I can explain them?

They're like bras: supportive, necessary, and you only notice them when something's off.

And the reason your routines keep failing isn't a discipline problem. It's that you've been squeezing yourself into a routine built for a different season, then blaming yourself when it digs in.

Here's what most coaches will tell you:

”Here's the perfect color-coded morning routine, now go execute it.”

And it works beautifully — on their best day, in their best week, in a body that cooperates. So the second life starts lifin' and you can't keep up, the message you walk away with is that you failed. You weren't disciplined enough. You should've wanted it more.

I do the opposite. I'm not here to fix you because there's nothing wrong with you. I fix the system.

We build it around the life you actually have: the flares, the spoonie days, the 30% energy mornings, the weeks where getting dressed is the whole win. Because a system that only works when you're at 100% isn't a system, it's a setup.

Back to the bra: most coaches hand you the cute lacy one that looks incredible but digs into your ribs by noon. I'm building you the everyday one you forget you're even wearing.

The LIFE Framework

he LIFE Framework: Learn, Implement, Fluid, Elevate — a system that holds when life doesn't

The way I walk through it is my LIFE Framework. Learn what's feeling heaviest right now. Implement one new system — not all twelve — starting with the one digging in hardest. Keep it Fluid so it bends and flows with your season instead of fighting you. And then Elevate — that exhale when you finally trust things won't fall apart the second your energy dips.

So what can you do today?

You don't build all twelve life systems at once. Start with the one underwire digging in the hardest. Pick the single area draining you most this week (household, kid care, your own health) and get it out of your head and onto paper, somewhere another person could step in and help. That's it. That's your first system.

And if you want help finding which one to start with, that's exactly why I built the Life Systems Starter Bundle. The Life Systems Scan shows you which system is the underwire digging in right now, and the Capacity Calculator helps you build around the energy you actually have, not the energy you're "supposed" to have. It's Step 1, Learn, placed right in your hands. If today had you nodding along, that's your starting line. 🧡

Always wishing a better today than yesterday,

Michelle 🥰🧡
